5pm Film: Ladies in Retirement. The housekeeper to a retired actress tries at the same time to look after her own two emotionally disturbed sisters, with dramatic results. Starring Ida Lupino.
6.35 Making Relatives: Water Walk. A collaboration between Water Protectors in Turtle Island (North America) and Ireland. The walk is a sacred purification event which deems activities such as fracking & mining as harmful to the water and therefore the earth along with it. The ceremony is performed by the female members of the tribe. With the Foyle being threatened by contamination from mining, industrial agriculture and the largest illegal dump in Europe (Mobuoy) Making Relatives welcomed Ojibwe ceremony leader Sharon Day and the Ikidowin youth theatre ensemble to share in a sacred Water Walk, to honour the River Foyle and to pledge their protection
