NvTv is free to watch, no satellite or digital equipment is necessary. Northern Visions are licensed to broadcast using one 500-watt transmitter. Currently, to cover all of Belfast, takes several transmitters, so there will be areas in the city, which may not be able to receive the NvTv signal clearly. As information becomes available we will post the areas in the city where the signal can be received the strongest. Having a good aerial correctly installed by a reputable company may improve the signal. NvTv hopes to give better coverage through time with additional transmitters You can receive NvTv in much the same way as the BBC and UTV by tuning in your television set to Channel 62, or Frequency 799.276MHz. Just follow the three simple steps below to get your TV ready for local programmes. Step 1 On your TV: select a channel number you are not using - for example channel 6. HINT: don't use the channel you're using for your video recorder. Step 2 Using your TV's search facility, tune into channel 62 or 799.27MHz. If you're having problems refer to your TV manual under the heading, How to tune in your television. Step 3 When you've found NvTv make sure you SAVE the new tuning setting. That's it - now whenever you want to watch 'NvTv' just select the channel you chose at step 1 on your remote control. Further information on reception generally see BBC web site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/factsheets/
