Programming changes at 5.00 pm each day and is repeated throughout that day.

Omnibus edition on Saturdays and Sundays

NvTv broadcasts free-to-air to the Greater Belfast area.

You can receive NvTv in much the same way as the BBC and UTV

by tuning in your television set to Channel 62/Frequency 799.276MHz

Green Living Fair 2006 (43 minutes)

On the 16th and 17th of September 2006, Castle Espie hosted a celebration and exploration of sustainable alternatives to the throw away society that we live in.  This programme features interviews with members of the public by members of the public.

 

Cultures & Conflicts (12 minutes)

Cultures & Conflicts - A Three day event held at the Spectrum Centre on the Shankill Rd, by the Community Arts Forum, highlighting & Discussing the role of culture & arts in conflict and post-conflict societies.

Program includes interviews with:

Heather Floyd - Director of the CAF

Roger Tropéano - President of Les Rencontres

Jean Hurstel - President of Banieues d'Europe

 

Speed (5 minutes)

Speed is a silent movie 2001 style.  It is a quirky celebration of the unsung hero of film and television; the humble sound recordist.  Being a film devoid of actual sound “Speed” experiments with postproduction sound, promoting sound from being incidental or mere effect, to becoming a strong narrative force.

Kick out the Jams- AU Special (20 minutes)

AU magazine brings us one of the most popular alternative bands in the UK at the moment - The Young Knives. The band are regulars on the likes of MTV2 and have had great reviews for their debut album 'Voices of Animals and Men' in all the major magazines. They perform a special acoustic set for us in the NvTv studio.

A studio discussion with the Chair of The Parents Forum NI on the upcoming selection of the Parents Advisory Group.

 

Hidden Gems (10 minutes)

A film by Caroline Boyle

Did you know that the first public museum in Ireland was opened in Belfast? Caroline Boyle visits The Old Museum Arts Centre, right in the heart of Belfast City Centre. Anne McReynolds, Director of the OMAC tells Caroline what it’s like to work in such a historic and thought provoking building she is joined by Architectural Historian Paul Larmour who gives us the background info on this wonderful and evocative building. The programme looks at the restoration and continued preservation of the site as a public arts facility for Belfast, continuing in the tradition of its original use.

 

Footprints Women’s Centre (16 minutes)

Portrait of the centre which was established after women from the Poleglass estate got together in the late eighties, realised their unique needs and their combined strength, and founded Footprints. Today the Centre's purpose-built premises in Colinmill, Poleglass is home to education and self-development work, day care and after schools facilities, a café and drop-in, and a lot of lively women.

Homely Planet World Music Event, Newtownards  (42 minutes)

Presented By Julius E. Anakaa

A showcase of musicians from all around the world who have come to live in Northern Ireland. The event, to be headlined by Aziz Ibrahim (Stone Roses), African drumming, blues from Poland, chill-out sounds from the Caribbean and some homegrown Irish folk! A true melting pot of styles and cultures put together for your entertainment.

 

Houses Not Flats (Protest Rally) (25 minutes)

On the15th of December 2006 a Protest Rally took place at the Donegall Street/Carrick Hill car park against the proposed apartments that will include an eleven storey tower block. The Protest hoped to highlight the overall Inequality in Housing for Nationalists of North Belfast.

An eventful and culturally full new year to you all from the artery> team. Up in the 1st show for 2007 - Expo x 3! Paintings from Oliver Jeffers and Maria Perry - The Emerald City. Photographic show: Sorry You Missed The 60's by Philip Townsend; all the movers and shakers in London during The swinging sixties in glorious black & white. Music and song from Anthony and The Johnstons  'Hope There's Someone' Plus several species of small visual images gathered together in a prog' and groovin' with a pict!

 

Three Generations (30 minutes)

Three generations of women from the Village area of Belfast talk about their experiences.
